Hundreds of devotees danced to devotional music and beating of drums and playing of nagaswaram as we say goodbye to Lord Ganesh's idol today on the 14th day(last day) of Ganesh Chaturthi, called Ananta Chaturdasi.
While immersing the idol, people say "Ganpati bappa morya, pudcha varshi laukar ya" which means hey Lord Ganesha, please return next year soon.
